Angels In Waiting is seeking several dedicated individuals to write for our blog. If you have good writing skills, we want to hear from you!


Information
Angels In Waiting (AIW) is a nonprofit organization established to meet the needs of forgotten medically fragile preemies, infants and children. Our mission is to move these foster care infants and children into private residences under the care of Registered and Licensed Vocational Nurses as their foster parents.

Position
We are currently seeking to fill several volunteer positions, including:

-Two “Lead Bloggers” who can commit to posting at least once per day/night, 4-5 days per week (Monday-Friday).

-Four “Weekly Bloggers” who can commit to one or more posts per week. 

-Two “Weekend Bloggers” who can commit to posting 1-2 posts each on Saturday and Sunday. 

These are part-time, volunteer positions that you can work around your schedule from home, school, or anywhere there’s an internet connection.


Topics of Interest 
Your blogging topics may include but are not limited to:
-Personal experiences with AIW as a nurse, foster or adoptive parent
-Updates of children who have been adopted due to the Angels In Waiting Organization.
-Reviews of locations, products and events of interests to parents (including those of children with special needs)
-Updates on what is happening in the medical field (especially advances in preemie's and children's health)


We are open to discuss any ideas for topics or weekly post series that may be of interest to applicants.


Duties
To help develop a database of content and spread awareness of Angels In Waiting by building, distributing and fostering engagement and content.


Qualifications
- Must be organized and professional
- Excellent writing, English, communication and computer skills required
- Regular access to email
- Ability to commit to time deadlines
- Ability to write both factual and opinion pieces that would appeal to a wide reader base
- Experience writing in areas of healthcare, specifically children's health, preemie health concerns, and a general knowledge of the medical industry would be a bonus, but not essential.

Salary
This is an unpaid, volunteer position.


All writers in these categories are encouraged to apply:
-Current bloggers looking for a new challenge, individuals running small blogs looking for more exposure, and bloggers interested in joining a group blog.
-Active AIW or Nurses For Safer Access Volunteers or Employees who currently support AIW/NFSA and are ready to take it to the next level.
-Adoptive parents of an AIW child.
-Parents of preemies, medically fragile children, autistic children, or any special needs child.
-College students majoring in the medical field.
-Working adults and stay-at-home parents with good writing skills and a desire to blog in support of the Angels In Waiting mission.
